The green island couldn’t hold us! We managed to reboot, albeit not in our own bodies oddly, onto Lahaina today. The island is beautiful, but of course we’d rather be in Seattle. I haven’t tracked down the reason for any of this yet. All we know is that something went wrong, and we’re only now starting to be able to reboot.
More as we know more! For the others of you in your own purgatory, you should be able to see this. We’re working on making communication between the islands possible, but until then, keep reading up and if you are technical or somehow a former employee of VCorp, find a way to let us know! Post in your terminal, tag it with ‘#wtfuture’ and we’ll maybe find you. For some reason it seems VeilCorp used the veil itself to transfer data and updates to its own systems, so it seems all dimensions all share the same permissions. So if you are, like me, Cliff Able, that’s not so strange and maybe you can help me help yourself!
Also: If you are able to reboot, be careful. There’s a lot of disease and … some people didn’t come out okay, or were stuck in the LPZ for the last 50 years. I don’t know how they survived, but they did. They don’t look normal, but some of them are pretty good, very welcoming.

This week made a number of weapon and combat improvements, included a bunch of crafting and construction updates, and fixed a mountain of bugs that our testers reported to us. We’re also including some shots of the amazing bases our community built since our last update. Read below to see everything we’ve worked on.

Calling All Streamers!
If you’re a Content Creator and want to stream Fractured Veil, say Aloha!
While we’ve spent a lot of time thinking of ways to encourage people to play together, this week we’ve come up with a few ways to keep them apart. We’ve added three different types of barricades to the crafting menu to help players protect themselves and their constructions.
Our first offering is your standard wooden spike barricade. The pointy parts do damage and should be rotated to face potential threats.Next we have metal barricades which in addition to doing damage have a slowing effect on anything trying to pass through. Last but certainly not least, we have good old concrete barricades. Made famous in thousands of movie car chases, concrete barricades are an excellent place to take cover from gunfire and arrows
We’ve heard from many of you that water was too hard to come by while you’re exploring the jungle so we added another water source to the game. You can now craft or find these rain catchers across the map providing tarp flavored water to those in need. We also added some giant tanks outside the thorcon to help make the neighborhood more interesting and offer players places to hide as well.
